Stevie (2002)
Directed by Steve James, written by Steve James

Stevie is a great work of compassion, conscience, and art. It leads us into the lives of people we would normally avoid and shows us how important it is that we show them love. It portrays the transforming power of God's love in a way few films ever have. It breaks the viewer's heart and leaves us more sensitive, more aware of the possibility of redemption in any heart. I challenge you to find a film that portrays more powerfully the influence of abuse, and alternately of unconditional love, on a lost soul.
